Who am I?

Hey, I'm Fares! I am currently completing my final semester of my Computer Engineering Undergraduate Degree at the University of Guelph. I am a goal driven individual who seeks challenges and new opportunities. Through an interest for hands-on work and willingness to learn, I have developed a strong skillset which has supported me in the completion of several successful projects.

Currently completing final semester with an expected graduation date in April 2020.

Senior Computer/Systems Engineering year representative.

Liaison between 1500 engineering students, staff, faculty and administrators at the University of Guelph.

Responsibilities include regular communication between myself and professors to voice the opinions, ideas, and concerns of the student

Assisted in the organization of multiple school events such as: Iron Ring Ceremony, Graduation Celebrations, and Fundraisers.

Prototyping design for the Canadian International Rover Challenge.

Calculus Tutor Freelance: 2018-Present

Teaching the fundamentals of Grade 12 calculus to high-school and University students.

PSC Sales Associate Sheridan Nurseries: 2016-2018

Demonstrated communication skills through professional customer service and teamwork through completion of daily tasks. Proven sales ability by placing third among all employees in add-on sales during summer 2018.

Cashier Winners: 2013-2015

Reduced losses worth $450.00 by demonstrating precise attention to detail. Received TJX Loss Prevention Recovery Award (2015).
